The International Agency for the Prevention of
Blindness (IAPB) has launched a new Vision Atlas. This platform provides the most comprehensive data on global eye health. It equips decision-makers, advocates, planners, and partners across health, development, education and business to turn evidence into action. The Vision Atlas has been around since 2017, in 2025 it has received a transformative update, reacting to user feedback and enhancing data sources, visualisations and data stories for advocacy.

8-10 September 2025: Africa Climate Summit 2 (ACS2)
The second Africa Climate Summit is hosted by the Government of Ethiopia (GoE) in collaboration with the African Union Commission. It will take place from 8-10 September in Addis Ababa with a pre-summit from 5-7 September, which aims to centre marginalised voices and community-led solutions. The summit’s overall theme is “Accelerating Global Climate Solutions: Financing for Africa’s Resilient and Green Development”. You can consult the detailed programme here and register here. Access climate training resources
The Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) – or UN Climate Change in short – offers a Capacity-building Portal with a wide range of training materials and opportunities to support climate-related capacity-building initiatives. It serves as a hub for learning resources that help participants strengthen their knowledge and engagement in global climate
action. You can browse by topic, type, region and language.
Inclusive education in emergencies
Inclusion International designed the Inclusive Education in Emergencies (EiE) Tool to build humanitarian actors’ understanding of inclusive education principles. It also supports organisations to reflect on implementation of these principles in their emergency response and education work.
Learn how to budget for inclusion
Budgeting for Inclusion: Beginner Course on Budget Analysis and Policy Evaluation: Launched by the International Disability Alliance (IDA) in collaboration with the Center for Inclusive Policy (CIP), this self-paced course introduces key concepts in public budgeting and policy evaluation. Participants will learn the basics of budgeting and financial decision-making, relevant laws and regulations, step-by-step methods for policy analysis and how to examine public budgets for compliance with the UNCRPD (UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability). Grants for young, locally-led initiatives in Africa
The Azurit Foundation provides funding to locally-led organisations in selected African countries—Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Sudan, and Uganda—that offer innovative, evidence-based solutions to improve skills, income generation, and access to knowledge. The support focuses on initiatives in education and access to independent information. Eligible organisations are typically less than five years old and operate with an annual budget below €300,000. UN Women’s Trust Fund Opens 8 September for civil society proposals
Managed by UN Women, the UN Trust Fund provides grants to initiatives aimed at preventing and ending violence against women and girls. The next call for proposals will be launched on 8 September and will be published here. The fund
supports civil society organisations, particularly women’s rights groups, working on impactful, evidence-based strategies.
